Adroaldo Moura da Silva

Adroaldo da Silva is a Partner of  SMA since its inception, holding a 50% equity participation on it.
Concurrently to his partner position at SMA, Mr. da Silva also developed the following roles in both private and public sectors:

Banco ABC (Arab Banking Corporation) - Brasil S/A

− Chairman (1998-2005)


Banco ABC-ROMA (Roberto Marinho) S/A

- Vice-Chairman (1991-1998)


Companhia Paulista de Ativos – CPA (100% owned by the State of São Paulo; involved in Debt Restructuring and Privatization operations)

- President / C.E.O. (1996-1998).


Faculdade de Economia e Administração (FEA) – Universidade de São Paulo (USP)

- Full Professor of Economics (retired in 2002)

Mr. da Silva oversaw important market entities, namely:


Banco do Brasil S/A Head of the International Division (1986-1988) Comissão de Valores Imobiliários – CVM (equivalent of SEC, Securities Exchange Commission, in the United States of America)

- President  and Chairman (1985-1986).

Prior to occupying those positions, Mr. da Silva managed the Economic Research Institute Foundation of University of São Paulo (Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas – FIPE)

- President (1983-1984)

- Director (1979-1982)

Education

Mr. da Silva holds a PhD degree in Economics from The University of Chicago (1972) and  a B.S. degree in Economics from  Universidade de São Paulo (University of São Paulo).
