SMA

SMA Administração de Imóveis e Patrimônio S/A invests in the Brazilian market, having a solid experience in the real estate industry, with a special focus on its commercial segment (shopping malls and street/convenience malls). The company acts nationwide. SMA’s developments in the Northern and Northeastern regions reveal its strong pioneer trace as still today they are considered market references.

SMA has recently successfully invested in the power industry, structuring and almost promptly selling a run-of-river hydroelectric plant located in the Central West region. SMA coordinated the entire process, including but not limited to: (i) site acquisition; (ii) governmental and environmental licenses and approvals; (iii) project debt financing; and (iv) construction.

Aware of the escalation of environmental problems globally, and the new solutions adopted by developed countries to minimize their effects, SMA intends to explore new business opportunities in the so called “clean energy” or sustainable energy segment, taking advantage of the certified emission reductions (cers) under the Kyoto Protocol.

The company strongly prizes for its reputation in the market, having always adopted - and demanded from its partners - an ethical and conservative approach.
